NEW YORK STATE OF MIND
If New York has two things, it’s well-dressed men and some of the best pizza in the world.
Whether you’re a street-style and deep dish kind of guy, or strictly stick to suits and thin crust, there’s a corner of New York that will feel like home to you.
You might get lost, but not in the crowd.
Stand out in this season’s take on formal wear. Unveiling a subtle fusion of the classic tuxedo and contemporary white dinner jacket, we present this Sterling Grey masterpiece.
YOU WANNA PIECE OF ME?
We’re rounding up our top 5 favorite slices in the city.
If you know, you know. And if you don’t…you’re about to find out.
UNA PIZZA NAPOLETANA
The Bianca
This one might be new on your radar, but we can confirm it’s bound to be your next go-to. Una Pizza Napoletana is more of a restaurant than a quick grab-and-go joint, and it’s been named #3 on 50 Top Pizza’s “Best Pizza in the World” chart 2 years in a row.
Their menu is designed to be enjoyed amongst others, while sitting in their dining room watching the tight knit Una team work the dough by hand and carefully bake only three pizzas at a time in a gorgeous wood-fired oven. Go for their weekly special pizza and the Bianca - a perfectly crisp wood-fired dough topped with buffalo mozzarella, garlic, basil, Sicilian sea salt, and EVOO.
PRINCE STREET PIZZA
The Naughty
To know it is to love it. Prince Street Pizza is (most) famous for their original spicy pepperoni pie - served up Sicilian style with piping hot Fra Diavalo sauce, fresh mozzarella, and grated pecorino Romano.
But, we’ve reserved this spot on our list of New York’s best pies for their newest addition to the menu: The Naughty. Enter spicy vodka sauce, pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and Zab's hot honey. God, it’s good.
You gonna finish that?
LUCALI
BYOB!
Lucali is a Brooklyn spot that’s recently taken the pizza scene by storm. They don’t take reservations and are cash only, but on the upside it’s BYOB and the pies are unforgettable. This effortlessly soulful spot is perfect for date nights or family visits.
Don’t expect a laundry list of pizzas, either. This place specializes in one thing and one thing only - thin-crust, wood-fired margherita style + a short list of 8 available toppings like garlic, artichokes, or hot pepper. Also, order the ‘Side of Roni’ - it’s a must.
L’INDUSTRIE
The L’Industrie Pie
For our thin crust lovers, this one’s for you. L’Industrie was born to blend authentic Italian traditions with the culture of New York City. You’ll definitely have to wait in line, but at least you can watch the dough throwers and sauce spreaders hard at work through their open kitchen concept. When you finally do get to order, make sure to add a fresh ball of burrata to just about any slice…well, because you can.
We’re giving this spot to the L’Industrie Pie - topped with prosciutto di parma, burrata, and basil picked straight from Nonna’s garden (probably). Almost makes the trip to Brooklyn actually worth it.
KESTÉ
Gluten Free Masterpieces
If you’re looking for a gluten-free pie that doesn’t taste like soggy cardboard, Kesté is ranked at the very top. The restaurant is owned by Roberto Caporuscio, a master in pizza-making and an artist at crafting the perfect Neopolitan-style pie. Enjoy over 50 different types of pizza (all available on gluten-free dough) with traditional ingredients including homemade mozzarella.
